Power8 Sprints, 2018
Rowing is a beautiful and exciting sport, with high profile events such as the Boat Race and the Henley Royal Regatta. Sadly, its ability to market itself as a spectator sport to the wider public has never been one of its strengths – until now.
On Sunday 22nd July, Bristol hosted the first “Power8 Sprints”. Manchester and Oxford were crowned the first men’s and women’s champions after battling it out against crews from Bristol, Cambridge, Exeter, London, Newcastle and Nottingham, head-to-head on the 350m course.
