ROWING TASTER SESSIONS

  • Have you ever thought that you might be interested in trying the fantastic sport of rowing?
  • Yare Boat Club holds 2 hour rowing taster sessions at our Club.
  • We are holding our second set of taster sessions this year on Sunday 21st June 2026 from 10am-4pm.
  • These sessions offer you the opportunity to try a racing quad boat, as well as receive coaching on a rowing erg and take a look around the club.
  • If you are interested in taking part, please email membership@yareboatclub.org for details of the next session.
  • There is NO CHARGE for these sessions. This is for over 18s only as we do not have a junior section.

LEARN TO ROW COURSE

  • For those who have tried the taster sessions and felt that they would like to take this further, Yare Boat Club runs an introductory Learn to Row (L2R) course.
  • If you could not make the taster sessions, you are still welcome to sign up for the L2R course.
  • This is the way into rowing for most people, a sport like no other.
  • Our next course takes place on 28th June and 19th July 2026 10am-4pm. Over 18s only.
  • 1 hour lunch break, bring your own lunch but tea/coffee is provided.
  • The cost is £140 per person for this year’s course.
  • Full coaching is provided throughout both sessions.
  • Numbers are quite limited so we operate on a first come, first served basis. Places are secured by payment.
  • If you are interested in taking part, please email membership@yareboatclub.org for further details.
